Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a quiet, meditative practice that centers on passively holding postures for 3 to 5 minutes in order to stretch the bodies’ Yin tissues. Yin tissues include ligaments, tendons and connective tissue. Focusing on these tissues increases mobility and creates suppleness in the joints. This practice of holding poses releases deeply held stress and tension and encourages the free flow of energy in the body. Yin yoga is also a practice of moving into stillness. Holding poses overtime allow the bodymind time to quiet down, cultivating insight and a more meditative yoga practice.

Vinyasa

This is a dynamic style of yoga and is all about precision amidst movement and ease amidst flow. Here we move from steadily pose to pose in coordination with the breath, gradually building deeper internal warmth as we explore a variety of Sun Salutations, Standing Poses, Core Integration practices, Arm Balances, Backbends, Twists, Forward Bends, Hip Openers and Inversions.

Mindful Flow

Often set to music, this style of yoga is all about flowing to the rhythm of the beat. Not just that of the music, but also that of your breath and your heart. Challenging you to dive deeper into specific theme and different yoga philosophy expressed through movement. This yoga style is suitable for all levels of Vinyasa students and is taught with progressions in postures so students can choose which layer to stay at.
